Pema Chholing School

Student Code of Conduct

Our code of conduct promotes core values of respect, honesty, discipline, responsibility, compassion and cooperation to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.

Student code of conduct

At Shree Pema Chholing Ghyang Basic School, We want every student to grow up in an environment built on discipline, respect, responsibility, and kindness. These values don't just make school run smoothly, they help shape the kind of people our students become. Below are the expectations we ask all students to follow so that our school stays a safe and welcoming place for everyone.

1. Respect and Good Behavior

We expect students to treat teachers, staff, classmates, and everyone in our school community with respect. This means speaking politely, showing kindness, and being honest in everyday interactions. Bullying, harassment, fighting, or any behavior that hurts others has no place here and will not be tolerated.

2. Attendance and Punctuality

Coming to school regularly and on time matters — both for a student’s own learning and for the classroom as a whole. If a student can’t make it to class, we ask that parents or students let the school or class teacher know. Once in class, students are expected to take part in lessons and school activities, not just show up.

3. Academic Responsibility

Students should stay on top of their assignments, classwork, and other learning tasks. We also expect honesty in all schoolwork and exams — copying or cheating undermines the whole point of learning. If a student is struggling with something, we’d rather they ask for help than fall behind quietly.

4. Uniform and Personal Discipline

Students should wear the proper school uniform and keep themselves neat and clean. We also ask that students look after their own belongings and respect what belongs to others. Good discipline should carry through both inside the classroom and out on the school grounds.

5. Caring for School Property and the Environment

School buildings, furniture, books, and equipment are shared resources, and we ask students to treat them with care. Keeping classrooms and the school grounds clean is everyone’s job, not just the cleaning staff’s. We also encourage students to take an interest in nature and join in environmental activities when they come up.

6. Responsible Use of Technology

When using computers, smart boards, or other digital tools at school, students are expected to use them for learning , not to misuse them or do anything that could harm others or reflect poorly on the school.

7. Getting Involved

We encourage students to take part in sports, cultural events, clubs, and other school activities. These are great chances to build teamwork, take on leadership roles, and grow outside the classroom.

8. The Values We Hope to Build

More than anything, we hope students leave Shree Pema Chholing Ghyang Basic School having practiced:

    •    Respect
    •    Honesty
    •    Discipline
    •    Responsibility
    •    Compassion
    •    Cooperation

When students follow this code of conduct, they’re not just staying out of trouble — they’re helping build a school where everyone has the chance to learn, grow, and do their best.
